We are the change.

Where did the noble men in our society disappear to? Where are the so called spiritual Christians? This is a great generation full of newness. This is the era of fast foods and big stomachs, less patience and great achievements, this is a computer generation where you don’t need a pen to write a letter but just dial digit on your touch screen and there you are; in America, Colombia, Canada, even to the external space world. This is a generation of electronic bibles, potable prayers written on the daily devotional books and media churches, a generation of excitement and entertainment for the common benefits of every individual. This is the only generation where you determine what the pastor will preach how the ushers will dress and of course the kind of songs God would like to be worshipped with. A lot of new things are being discovered each day, new ways of births, new ways of praying, worshipping, new forms of marriage, new vehicles, phones and list goes on and on. This is the era of internet communication, internet dating, internet courtship, internet marriage and even internet divorce. Things have been made easy indeed.
In this new 21st generation churches have had the greatest transformation compared to any other thing. This is the only era where we enjoy real freedom in the church, right from the preaching to the attendance. Going to church has become a luxury part of life which of course you can always do without. People attend the church services in all manner of styles, churches developing all forms of wars and completions. Pastors are going abroad for conferences on church increments, driving big cars to churches, leaving in mansions based in all countries and their kids studying in Harvards, Oxfords and Cambridges of our time, yet the congregation is still trailing in the ugly paths of poverty.
We have had all manners of swags; from preachers with their intonations, singers with their dressed styles and the congregation in their attendance. This is the time where you can switch on your telly, go to church and be in bed at the same time.  We have changed our view about God; from understanding, to merciful, forgiving and now to non-existing. Church has become just a social gathering, where you get to meet beautiful angels of God called women, where you do your campaigns and where you get a wife to marry and later divorce.
Perhaps there is a different picture of all this in your minds which is okay, but at the same time it’s true that we have deviated from the first love. We have forsaken the truth of the bible and have allowed others to interpret it to us in their own ways. We are leaving in times of self-justification and individualism where what I do is the best, what I say is the truth and how I live is the way to live. We are living in the times where there are all kinds of churches; prosperity churches, end times churches, going to heaven churches, true churches and all manner of crazy doctrinal churches. We have become selfish and evil, we have brought the world into the church, and we have generated our own Lil wynes and Rihannas in churches as we make the real ones to be our role models. Our innovation in the music industry has hit the walls of failure and has bounced back to our faces.
We are trading on the paths of the devil. We have joined the forces of secularism and Christianity has been painted as boring. The fact that this is a new generation doesn’t mean God has changed, it doesn’t mean that angels in heaven are walking around in sagged jeans and Moses and other prophets wearing bling! bling! It doesn’t mean that God has bended the biblical truths and rules, and definitely it doesn’t mean that heaven has been opened to all. We are slowly joining the ranks of the devil which is to entertain people, but am not scared or surprised. I know that these are the end time and soon those who live right are going to be taken to live in the right place where evil is history.
Let us be the light of this world, salt of this earth and let our light shine out to all men that they may see it and praise our heavenly father. We have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people.  I know that we have the power to make this generation the best generation of the mankind in the history of the world or make it the last. I believe in uniqueness and the only way to change our generation is to start being different yourself. Change starts with you before it transpires to others. Choose to do right even if it makes you the only Christian in this world, choose to be the true friend even if they don’t exist and  start speaking the truth even if it makes you a betrayer of this generation. Jesus is the perfect example to follow, embrace him as role model and this generation will be never be the same again.
Wake up let us journey on.
